The sun rays finally lure us out, which is why we also take every opportunity to keep our nose in the spring air. It is quite wonderful that in the middle of the city, along the Vienna Ring Road, the first guest gardens have already opened and invite you to just take the lunch break out into the open air.
Probably the most famous are those of the Viennese coffee houses. The exterior of the Café Landtmann on the “Universitätsring” is probabaly the most famous one and has been inseparably linked to Viennese coffee house culture since 1873.
If you do not like the typical coffee house atmosphere, and if you prefer something more urban, you will be right at yamm! on the Universitätsring. There are only vegetarian dishes, to enjoy on site or to take away – a tip, which is not only known among students.
Even in the elegant surroundings of the Grand Hotels you can get a little bit fresh air. In the “Grand Brasserie”, typical Viennese specialties are served directly in front of the hotel, while the lively activity at the Kärntner Ring can be observed. Not far away, the „at eight“-Restaurant in the “The Ring” hotel also has a pretty barbeque. This invites you with a business lunch to culinary adventures and is above all something for friends of the upscale Viennese cuisine. And if you have extended the lunch break or simply want to have a drink after work, you can go to Le Zefire next door for a cocktail.
